This policy covers DateMitra, its mobile application and connected account/chat services. DateMitra provides conversations with AI-generated fictional characters. It is not a service for contacting the real people depicted by those characters. The service operator and privacy contact are shown below.
We process your account identifier and email address, authentication credentials handled by our authentication provider, and the identity information returned by the sign-in provider you choose. Your profile includes your name, age, gender, city, languages and preferred language. A profile photo is optional. We also process your chat messages, generated replies, conversation history, delivery/read status and reports you submit.
We use these data to authenticate you, manage your profile, personalize discovery, generate replies, maintain conversation context, synchronize conversations, recover pending messages and address safety or privacy reports. Conversation summaries and numerical representations of message content (embeddings) support AI memory and retrieval. Nearby uses the city you supply; the current app does not request GPS location. Character locations describe fictional profiles and do not establish the presence of real people nearby.
Chat content and relevant conversation context are transmitted to Google's generative AI services to generate replies and embeddings. Supabase provides authentication, database and profile-photo storage. Vercel hosts the connected web/API service. Google or Apple handles the sign-in option you select. Providers may process data outside your country. Provider retention and model-improvement practices depend on the configured service and contract; do not send passwords, financial credentials, government IDs or other highly sensitive information in chat. We do not describe these conversations as end-to-end encrypted.
Session information and unsent messages are stored using platform secure storage so sign-in and pending sends can be restored. Discovery results are temporarily cached in memory. The app uses the system photo picker only when you choose a profile photo. Data exports create a temporary file for the operating system's share sheet and remove that temporary file after sharing finishes. A copy you save or share is under your control. The current mobile code does not include advertising or analytics SDKs and does not access contacts, SMS, microphone or precise location.
Network requests use HTTPS. Authentication and database access controls restrict access to account data. Authorized service administrators can access account and conversation data for service operation, troubleshooting and safety review; a report may link the reported message and conversation. Hosting and infrastructure providers may process IP addresses, request metadata and operational logs. We may disclose information when required by law or to respond to threats to safety. No storage or transmission system can guarantee absolute security.
Account data and conversations remain associated with your account until deleted. Hiding a conversation only removes it from the visible list; it does not erase it. Use Profile > Delete account to request permanent removal, or use the web account-deletion page/contact below without reinstalling the app. A deletion must cover account records, messages, memories, profile photos and related reports. Backup, log, provider and any legally required retention periods are described in the operator's retention details below.
You can edit your profile, choose whether to upload a photo, export your account data, submit a privacy report and request deletion. Depending on applicable law, you may also request access, correction, erasure, restriction or information about processing through the privacy contact. We may verify your identity before acting; never send your password. Signing out does not delete your server account or queued messages saved on this device.
DateMitra is intended for adults aged 18 and above. Do not use it if you are under 18. If you believe a minor has provided personal information, report it through the app or the privacy contact. Material policy changes will be published with a new version and, where required, consent will be requested again.

Account data is retained while the account is active. When deletion is requested, active account data is deleted. Limited security, fraud-prevention, legal, operational-log and backup records may remain only where required or until routine deletion cycles complete.
